Was there a wall between the West Germany and East Germany like the Berlin wall ?

Did you do anything special in remembrance of the tearing down of the Berlin Wall?

I paused to think about the history of Berlin as an enclave city. I remembered all I knew and read about the Berlin Airlift, and I remembered the Berlin Crisis in 1961. I remembered when the wall was built and how unfair we thought it was at the time.

I was glad it came down, and I know many Germans who also rejoiced. The world is not yet at peace, but that part of it is more peaceful, and I am grateful for that.

What did you do to mark the occasion?
