How do you feel about the comparison of the Beijing Olympics to the 1936 Berlin Olympics?
Author: Travel // Category: Gender & Women's StudiesJudge Judy asked:
Don’t both constitute political propaganda exercises?
Is it a fair comparison, or not?
What’s different, what’s similar?
Why should we care?

I can’t say I personally remember the 1936 Olympics.

i don’t generally watch the olympics so that i don’t really care about. but…
as long as the governments of other developed nations are willing to turn a blind eye to human rights violations in favor of economic benefits to the already wealthy, a boycott would make about as much sense as passing out the kool-aid. it will make no difference..

I personally have lost all interest in the Olympics. The last time I paid ANY attention was when the US Hockey team won in 1980.
perhaps if less people gave a hoot about the Olympics, they wouldn’t be so propagandized

yea same appeasement crap goin on – but hey it’s only asians being slaughtered and were still getting our cheap crap commodities, while wiping out what’s left of our manufacturing sectors. I would say game set century to china. These are the people that plan in decades and centuries, we are lucky if we can even remember what month it is. good question
